Andrew M. Sims
President, CEO, Chairman of the Board
Andrew Sims is President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of the Board of MHI Hospitality Corporation.
He has served as President of MHI Hotels Services since 1995 after serving for seven years as Vice President of Finance and Development. During his tenure as Vice President of Finance and Development, he was instrumental in the purchase and renovation of several properties that drove the growth of MHI Hotels Services in the 1990’s. Among the acquisitions he helped negotiate are the Hilton Wilmington Riverside and the Shell Island Resort in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina.
Mr. Sims’ association with MHI Hotels Services continues a tradition of family management which began with his father, Edgar Sims, Jr., who founded MHI Hotels Services as Maryland Hospitality Inc. in 1957. Andrew Sims began his career as sales associate for Merrill Lynch Commercial Realty, quickly moving to MHI as General Manager of the company’s second hotel - the Interstate Inn, College Park, Maryland. Mr. Sims managed the $2 million renovation of the property and its reopening under the Best Western franchise. After five years at the hotel, he was promoted to Regional Manager and oversaw MHI’s expansion into Virginia and North Carolina where the company acquired five new properties. Mr. Sims has expanded on his parents’ vast knowledge and experience in the hotel business, utilizing his own business expertise to help establish MHI Hospitality Corporation as a Real Estate Investment Trust firm trading on the American Stock Exchange (“AMEX”) under the symbol MDH.
He is a graduate of Washington & Lee University, Lexington, Virginia with a bachelor's degree in commerce. Mr. Sims currently serves on the Franchise Advisory Board for Hilton Hotels and serves as a Director for MHI Hotels Services. He is also involved in the community as a coach for Walsingham Academy.

General Anthony C. Zinni (USMC Ret.)
Director
General Anthony Zinni retired from the U.S. Marine Corps after 39 years of service in October 2000. During his military career, General Zinni served as the Commanding General, First Marine Expeditionary Force from 1994 to 1996, and as Commander-in-Chief, U.S. Central Command from 1997 to 2000.
General Zinni has participated in numerous humanitarian operations and Presidential diplomatic missions. In November 2001, General Zinni was appointed senior advisor and U.S. envoy to the Middle East by Secretary of State Colin Powell. Since November 2000, General Zinni has consulted in the areas of defense, military, national security, foreign policy and regional issues. General Zinni serves as a professor at the College of William & Mary and at the Virginia Military Institute, positions he has held since November 2000. General Zinni currently serves as Director and Member of the Compensation Committee of BAE Systems.
General Zinni received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Villanova University. He also earned a masters degree in internaional relations from Salvae Regina College, a masters degree in management and supervision from Central Michigan University, and an honorary doctorate degree from the College of William and Mary and the Maine Maritime Academy.

J. Paul Carey
Director
Paul Carey currently is the Managing Partner for JPT Partners, a privately held investment partnership created to acquire and manage transaction processing companies in the education and financial services industry. Mr. Carey also serves as the Chairman for Campus Partners, LLC, the leading Perkins and Campus based loan service in the country. Prior to his position with JPT Partners, Mr. Carey served as the Chief Executive Officer of Enumerate Solutions, Inc., a venture backed software company, from November 2001 until October 2003. Mr. Carey also served as the Executive Vice President for Sallie Mae and was responsible for financial reporting from August 1997 to April 2001, and as a partner with LCL Ltd., a financial advisory management and investment firm, from March 1993 to August 1997. He serves on the Board of Trustees for the University of Maryland College Park Foundation and for Trinity College.
Mr. Carey received his M.B.A. from the University of Maryland and his B.S. from the Catholic University in Washington, D.C.

Edward S. Stein
Director
Edward Stein is a Director and Chairman of the Nominating, Corporate Governance and Compensation Committee.
Edward Stein is a founding partner of the Norfolk, Virginia law firm of Weinberg and Stein. Mr. Stein has practiced law in the areas of Real Estate, Estate Planning, Probate, Corporate Law, Business Law and Licensing since 1974. He is admitted to the Virginia Bar and is a member of the Norfolk and Portsmouth, Virginia Bar Associations. Mr. Stein was educated at the Lawrenceville School (1964), Harvard College (A.B. 1968) and the University of Virginia School of Law (J.D. 1974).

Christopher L. Sims
Director
Chris Sims brings a lifetime of experience in the hospitality industry to his role as Director for MHI Hospitality Corporation. Chris Sims is the Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing for MHI Hotels Services.
He joined MHI Hotels Services in 1981 after graduating from college, returning to work in the family business as Front Office Manager and quickly assuming greater responsibility for MHI properties. Following successes as sales manager and general manager for the Best Western Maryland Inn, Mr. Sims was promoted to Vice President of Sales and Marketing in 1988, as MHI expanded geographically and doubled the number of rooms under management.
A graduate of Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in economics, Mr. Sims is First Vice President of the Prince George's Conference and Visitors Bureau and a member of Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International. He is also actively involved in the community as a youth sports coach and as a member of the Capital Campaign Fund Committee for the Academy of the Holy Cross in Kensington, MD.

Kim E. Sims
Director
Mr. Sims is the President of MHI Hotels Services since December 2004, previously he was Executive Vice President of Operations for MHI Hotels Services since 1995. Mr. Sims has provided 27 years of service to MHI Hotels Services and was instrumental in the expansion as a multi-property management company beginning management and oversight of the Best Western Maryland Inn in Laurel, Maryland in 1986.
His efforts proved crucial to MHI Hotels Services’ expansion into the Commonwealth of Virginia by purchasing two Holiday Inns in Williamsburg, Virginia. Mr. Sims knowledge of construction and design further led to the expansion of MHI Hotels Services into the operation and renovation of distressed properties.
He is a graduate of Washington & Lee University with a degree in commerce.

James P. O'Hanlon
Director
James O’Hanlon became a Director of MHI Hospitality Corporation in March 2007.
Mr. O’Hanlon retired from Dominion Energy in January 2003 after serving as president and chief operating officer for three years. He previously served as chief operating officer of Dominion generation, a generating unit of Dominion Resources, upon its formation in May 1999. Prior to his employment with Dominion Generation, Mr. O’Hanlon was with a subsidiary of Virginia Power since 1989 and served as vice president-Nuclear Services, vice president-Nuclear Operations and subsequently, senior vice president-Nuclear. He is a Captain (retired) in the U.S. Naval Reserves.

William J. Zaiser
Chief Financial Officer
A certified public accountant, he is responsible for financial analysis, cash management, insurance, investment and financial reporting. Mr. Zaiser began his career with MHI Hotels Services as a computer consultant, and became the first Corporate Controller for MHI Hotels Services. In 1990, he was elected to the Board of Directors and was promoted to Vice President of Accounting.
Before joining the hospitality industry, Mr. Zaiser was an instructor of mathematics at both the University of Maryland and Montgomery College. A licensed CPA in the State of Maryland, he holds a masters degree in applied mathematics from the University of Maryland and a bachelors in mathematics and physics from Ohio Wesleyan University.
Mr. Zaiser is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals and serves as a director for MHI Hotels Services.

David R. Folsom
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Folsom most recently served as vice president of Paragon Real Estate, a Cleveland-based early stage commercial real estate venture, specializing in the acquisition and renovation of multifamily assets. Prior to his tenure at Paragon, Mr. Folsom spent several years as an investment banker at BB&T Capital Markets, where he served on the lead underwriting team in MHI’s initial public offering in 2004. While at BB&T, Mr. Folsom participated in over 70 equity, debt and preferred stock underwritings, as well as financial advisory transactions across many industries. He served concurrently in the Real Estate Securities Group and Debt Capital Markets Group while at BB&T. Mr. Folsom served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, and received his M.B.A. from Georgetown University. |

Julia F. Connolly
Chief Compliance Officer
Ms. Connolly, Chief Compliance Officer and Vice President, joined MHI in January 2005. Prior to joining MHI, from 1998-2004 she was a part-time associate with the law offices of Roger M. Adelman, practicing civil and criminal litigation. Ms. Connolly served as an associate with the law firm of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart LLP from 1993-1997, where she specialized in areas of investment management and securities litigation. From 2001-2003, Ms. Connolly also consulted with the investment adviser, Farr, Miller & Washington, LLC, in areas of general corporate law. Ms. Connolly received her J.D. from Catholic University and B.A. from Georgetown University. |

Anthony E. Domalski
Chief Accounting Officer
Anthony E. Domalski is Chief Accounting Officer and Vice President of MHI Hospitality Corporation. A certified public accountant, he is responsible for financial and tax reporting. Mr. Domalski most recently served as Chief Financial Officer for SwissFone, Inc., a Washington, DC based telecommunications company. While at SwissFone, Mr. Domalski assisted in a management-led buyout of the U.S. based international wholesale division of Swisscom, AG. Prior to his tenure at SwissFone, Inc., Mr. Domalski held several other senior financial positions in the telecommunications and hospitality industry and spent nine years at a local public accounting firm. Mr. Domalski is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a graduate of the University of Maryland from which he received his bachelors in accounting and finance. Mr. Domalski joined MHI Hospitality in May 2005. |

Scott M. Kucinski
Director of Investor Relations
Mr. Kucinski is the Director of Investor Relations for MHI Hospitality Corporation. Prior to his current position, Mr. Kucinski served in the roles of Director of Construction Services and Development Analyst since joining the MHI team in June 2004. During his time as Director of Construction Services, Mr. Kucinski managed projects totaling over $65 million in capital investment over a 3 year period. Mr. Kucinski is a 2004 graduate of Washington & Lee University and is currently an MBA candidate at the Mason School of Business at the College of William and Mary. |

Rhonda L. Smith
Executive Assistant
Ms. Smith is Executive Assistant to the CEO, COO and Director of Construction Services in our Corporate Office located in Williamsburg, Virginia. She has served as Executive Assistant since joining MHI Hotels Services in 2002 and assisted in forming MHI Hospitality Corporation. Ms. Smith has a paralegal degree from Commonwealth College and has worked as an administrative assistant since 1997 for various companies. |
